MyFreeCams is the old public-chat cam site that still lets you lurk forever. Guests watch with no account. No ads, no time cap, no nag. Their Basic Tour is literally No Ads, No Time Restrictions, No Nagging, and that’s the product, not a slogan they forget once you’re hard. Tokens stay optional until you tip or buy a show. Public chat is the default night. Most of it. Tips are allowed. Nothing auto-drains. If you spend, Private is sixty tokens a minute for two people. Voyeur is twenty a minute — video and audio, she doesn’t see your name. TruePrivate is eighty and it kills the peephole. CamScore is a ranking from token earnings. New models start at 1000. She can’t type a prettier number. You can’t buy her one.

MyFreeCams Basic Tour
What it is
MyFreeCams is a live webcam sex platform that still acts like a neighborhood bar that never locked the door. Their own terms call it an online, worldwide webcam network for interactive video, audio, and live adult content posted mostly by other people. Lawyer version. Fine. The night is simpler. A model on camera with her face in the frame. A chat that already knows itself. You, maybe not even logged in, getting off in the dark.
You’ve got to be 18, or the age of majority where you live. Models have to be over 18. Operator on the privacy page is MFCXY, Inc. They shorten it to MFC. Owner of the Site. Wikipedia puts the launch on 28 August 2004. Leonid Radvinsky as the founder. Terms treat the site as Florida. Florida law. Florida venue. The 2257 records they publish sit at 2255 Glades Road Suite 324a, Boca Raton, FL 33431 USA. Old Florida internet. It shows.
They keep an official wiki at wiki.myfreecams.com. Not a help-center afterthought. A community that wrote itself down: how tokens move, how CamScore is calculated, who can talk, who can only watch. I use that wiki the way regulars use a house rule taped to the fridge.
Currency is Tokens. You don’t need them to sit in public chat. You need them if you want a tip to land, a private to start ticking, a voyeur slot, a group, or a Share club to notice you. They like to say they’ve got over twenty million members. Marketing sentence. Not a census I can audit. What I can feel is the user list. Same handles. Same hour. Same half-flirty argument about whether the toy comes out.
Face isn’t optional here. Models have to put a face on camera at least part of the time. No permanent mask. No forever off-camera head. If you came to watch a body with no person attached, wrong neighborhood. I want the face. This site wants the face. The regulars want to know it’s the same person they came for last year.
How it works
Tokens are the currency or money of MyFreeCams.com. Their wording. Still the only word that matters when you decide to spend. Three kinds of people in a show.
Guests aren’t registered, or aren’t logged in. Basic members have an account and never bought tokens. Premium members bought tokens at least once — even if the balance is zero now. Only Premium can hold tokens or spend them. Only Premium can PM a model who’s live. All Premium members get the Lounge. Members-only room. You watch live models and talk to each other like the bar in the back. I’ve sat in public as a ghost. I’ve also bought tokens once so a PM would send. Different nights. Same site.
Public chat is the default shape. The model’s online, not Away, not in Private, not in Group. No automatic drain. Tips are allowed. Official copy is blunt. Most models spend most of their night in public chat. That’s why the regulars exist. You don’t get a user list that remembers itself if the show only opens when someone pays.
A Private is the paid door off that public hang. A member asks. She takes it or she doesn’t. Sixty tokens a minute, counted at one token a second. Two people. Either side can end it. Dies on its own if the tokens run out. I’ve watched a public chat go quiet because the person I was hard for took a private. The people who stayed started refreshing like it was weather.
Voyeur is the peephole they actually sell. While a regular private is running, other people can watch at twenty tokens a minute — one token every three seconds. You get video and audio. You don’t get the private chat. She doesn’t see your name. That’s the horny technical fact. You can pay to watch two people fuck and she never sees your name. I’ve done that. I’ve also felt like furniture with a credit card. Which is the point of the product.
TruePrivate is the lock. You flip a setting on My Account. Voyeurs are blocked. Eighty tokens a minute. Same two-person room, no neighborhood leaning on the glass. If I’m going to spend, I’m deciding whether I want the street to watch me spend.
A Group starts when three members request at once and the model gets an invite. New people can pile in. Ten tokens a minute per user, one token every six seconds. Ends when she ends it or every premium member leaves. She can also take a video-only group through PM at the same ten. Official text says the low rate assumes extra tips. I’ve sat in a group that felt like a public chat with a cover charge. Which is why the tips still matter.
Club Show is her starting something for specified MFC Share clubs. CamScore treats it like Group, Private, or Public depending how they run it. MFC Share is a token-spend category with clubs. Share tips can count toward countdowns if she turns that on in ModelWeb.
Tips work any time, including when she’s offline. Offline tips show pink. Regulars do that. The person isn’t even on and someone still sends money so the name stays warm. I’ve seen a pink tip land and felt the whole neighborhood nod.
CamScore is the ranking that makes this site feel like a town with a high score on the water tower. Calculated from token earnings. New models start at 1000. Most of them drop under that at first. She can’t type a new number. You can’t buy her a cosmetic rank and pretend. Away mode — the auto-pause after a private or a group — doesn’t touch CamScore. I glance at that number the way you glance at who’s been on that stool for a decade. Gossip with math.
Away is just Away. After a paid show she can sit dark without the score punishing her for taking a breath. Member webcam is free to start. Premium can share cam with models if that’s the kind of night you came for. Friends lists, PMs, MFC Mail, profiles, popup rooms, preview tiles, Room Helper. Room Helper can set the topic, ban people, mute guests and basics. The furniture can be told to stay furniture.
Reward points: one point per ten tokens you buy. Status. Not something you spend on a model.
Watching
Guests can watch. Guests can watch without a clock and without a banner chewing the corner. Official Basic Tour language is the whole tell: no ads, no time restrictions, no nagging. They say you’ll never be nagged to create an account. Some features stay locked unless you’ve registered — chat, if she muted guests, is the one I hit first. I’ve come as a guest in a show where I couldn’t type. Fine. I didn’t come here to be interesting.
Make the free account if you want a name. No credit card. Then you’re Basic. A handle, a friends list, mail, a profile, the ability to talk unless she muted your tier. You still can’t hold tokens. You still can’t PM a live model. You’re a person in the neighborhood who hasn’t opened a tab at the bar.
Buy tokens once and you’re Premium, even after you spend the stack down to nothing. That first purchase is the door. They don’t publish the token shop prices. Models still get paid five cents a token no matter what you paid for the pack. That part they do print.
Premium is also the inbox. Friends. PMs to a live model. MFC Mail. The Lounge. Your own webcam pointed at a model if she wants it. I’ve used the Lounge as a second room when the show I wanted was in private and I wasn’t ready to go home. Members watching members watching models. Most MyFreeCams sentence I’ve got.
A lot of a night is still free public chat with a tip jar nobody’s required to touch. I’ve finished in rooms where the only money that moved was a regular sending a cheap tip for the sound of his name. Allowed. That’s the design. The site’ll let you lurk until your hand cramps. Then it’ll let you lurk tomorrow.
If you do spend, you’re picking a shape. Tip and stay in public. Request a private and hope she takes it. Flip TruePrivate if you don’t want voyeurs. Pay twenty a minute to be the voyeur. Join a group and split the heat. Or send a pink tip to someone who isn’t even online because you’re the kind of regular who keeps a tab open in your head.
Billing Help and Contact Support live on the wiki. They say complaints get reviewed within five business days. I haven’t needed the form. I’ve needed the back button when a private started and I wasn’t the one who paid for it.
Broadcasting
It’s free and easy to sign up. Then we pay you. That’s their pitch. Exclamation point and all. The rest of the becoming-a-model page is the adult version: no schedule, no minimum hours, Windows or Mac, a webcam, five megabits up or better, Ethernet if you can, lighting that doesn’t make you look like a hostage, a valid government photo ID, one to three face photos, a photo of you holding the ID.
Path they publish: browse the site, hit the Model Signup Page, wait for the approval email, upload the ID and the profile, go live. They say you can be online in just a few hours. I believe the hours. I also believe the ID check.
Age work is the part they document hardest. Government ID with a face, a name, a date of birth. Papers you sign about accuracy. Reviewed by specialists they say have years of training spotting forgeries, then double-checked by an independent third party. After she’s approved, snapshot photos get captured routinely and compared with the photo ID while she’s live. If they decide she looks too young, she’s removed. Age-policy violations? Zero-tolerance. Permanent ban. I’m not cute about that. Eighteen is eighteen.
Men aren’t allowed in the same room as a female model at any time, for any reason. Their sentence. Physical room, not the chat. If she’s a woman, a man doesn’t stand off-camera and pretend he’s furniture.
ModelWeb at myfreecams.com/modelweb is required even if she’s pushing the stream through OBS. WebRTC, or an external broadcaster: OBS, Sidekick, SplitCam, XSplit, ManyCam. Countdowns. A token-earnings panel. Toggles for which show types she’ll accept. Mute guests. Mute basics. Friends-only PM. Share tips counting toward a countdown if she wants that. She can geo-block states or countries from the becoming-a-model tools. Contact Model Support if the wiki isn’t enough.
Rules I actually care about when I’m the one watching. No public-location broadcasts. No other people’s private information on the stream. Face on camera at least part of the time. Audible sound is highly recommended. Polite way of saying a silent feed feels dead in a neighborhood that talks. Play recorded video as live and you’re banned on the spot. No payment. She doesn’t get to fake the night. Private-show content is up to her and the member. If there won’t be nudity, she’s supposed to say so in the first minute. I’ve been in a private that stayed clothes-on because that’s what I asked for. I’ve also been in one that didn’t. Both are allowed if both people said so.
Money
For every token a model earns, MyFreeCams pays her USD $0.05. Five cents. Two thousand tokens is a hundred dollars. That rate doesn’t change because you bought a fat pack on sale. She still gets a nickel.
They also publish the per-minute math. Only rate card I trust on this site. TruePrivate is eighty tokens a minute, four dollars to her. Regular private is sixty, three dollars. Voyeur is twenty per watcher, a dollar each. Group is ten per user, fifty cents each. A tip is just the nickel, any time, any size. I don’t take a number someone typed in chat as gospel. Payment wiki already printed a table.
On average, over sixty percent of all gross money spent on MyFreeCams.com is sent to models. Their line. Becoming-a-model says more than sixty percent of gross revenue, with exact details during registration. Same idea either page. Bigger viewer packs can be cheaper per token on your side. She still clears five cents. They don’t publish what a pack costs you.
Paydays are the 1st and the 16th for the previous fifteen days. They say no delays and no hold-backs. Methods they list: U.S. ACH, check in the U.S. and Canada, international wire or EFT, Paxum, CosmoPayment, Pagomundo/PMI. There’s an Early Payment section if she doesn’t want to wait for the calendar. I like a site that prints the calendar. Regulars on both sides of the glass like a calendar.
Miss MyFreeCams is the monthly flex. Top thousand earners get a bonus. Top prize is $1500. They say all prizes total over $100,000. It pays as a tip from the username MissMyFreeCams on the last day of the month. That’s a leaderboard wearing a person’s name.
Recruitment copy talks about top models clearing more than fifty thousand a month on one page and more than forty thousand on another, with many over ten thousand. Those two official pages don’t agree on the top figure. I’m not treating either number as a typical Tuesday. Ceiling they like to point at. Not a paycheck I can promise you.
Recording and chat
They record all your chat text in your private archives. Private shows too, and they stay available for you to watch any time, free. Official line: your private shows are yours to keep forever. Aftercare as a product. I’ve gone back to a private the next afternoon with the same hand and a colder coffee. The site already knew I would.
Treat public as filmed anyway. Snapshots are being compared to an ID while she’s live. Chat logs get moderated for age and pedophilia topics. They say community reports land in the hundreds and get handled instantly. Models are monitored, in their words, to make sure participation stays healthy and enjoyable. I don’t need a lecture. I need you to remember that a neighborhood with a wiki also has people watching the wiki.
Chat tools are blunt. Room Helper sets the topic, bans, mutes guests and basics. Friends. PMs if you’re Premium and she’s live, unless she locked PM to friends. MFC Mail when she’s dark. Popup rooms if you want the show in its own window. The Lounge if you want to talk to other people who paid once and never left.
Public is public. Face-required culture. The person you came to is identifiable. I’ve got a back button and a habit of not being the name that makes a show worse.
History
Wikipedia: launched 28 August 2004. Domain registered in 2002. Founder Leonid Radvinsky. Parent listed there as Mfcxy, Inc. Official privacy agrees on the operator: MFCXY, Inc. (MFC). No older consumer name is published.
The official wiki is still a living document. The 2257 statement was last edited 20 May 2021. The main wiki page was edited 8 May 2026. The safety page was touched 6 August 2026. A neighborhood that old still updates the house rules.
The bet hasn’t really changed since 2004. Go live with a face. Let public chat be most of the night. Let tokens be optional until they aren’t. Let CamScore be the scoreboard you can’t fake. Let a guest sit in the dark for twenty years and never get nagged. I still open a show I don’t talk in. I still get off. That’s why I keep opening MyFreeCams.
